Barbara Lange

Obituary's Biography:

Barbara Lange, age 83, a resident of Grayslake, IL, passed away on October 1, 2024 at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville.  She was born on September 24, 1941 in Chicago to Walter and Angeline Ptak.

Barb treasured her time with her children and grandchildren. She had a passion for music, finding joy in playing the piano and listening to her favorite artist, Elvis Presley. She also enjoyed the excitement of bingo nights and treasured her time spent in her homes in Florida and Michigan. Travel was another passion, and she relished exploring new places with family and friends. 

Barbara is survived by her husband of 62 years, Frank; her children, Jeff (Jennifer) of Shorewood, and Jenny (Brian) Dietz of Third Lake; her grandchildren, Tyler Dietz, Allison Dietz, Amanda Dietz, Gianna Lange, Elizabeth Lange, and J.P. Lange. She was preceded in death by her sister, Karen Rehor and her parents. 

A visitation will be held at Strang Funeral Chapel, 410 E Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030 on Friday, October 4, 2024 from 4pm until 8pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6401 Gages Lake Road, Gurnee, IL 60031 on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 9:30am.
