Barbara A. Tucibat
Obituary's Biography:
Barbara Ann Tucibat (née Marker), 83, went to be with the Lord late Monday November 09, 2020 after a brief period on hospice at The Village at Victory Lakes in Lindenhurst, IL.
Barb was born on February 15, 1937 in Chicago, IL to parents Walter and Alice Marker. After graduating high school, she met and married the love of her life on September 1, 1956. She worked in her dream job as a secretary for over 40 years in various law practices. Barb and Bob both retired to Sevierville, TN in 1999 to the home she designed.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years Robert, both parents Walter and Alice Marker, and nephew Carl Vachlin.
Barb is survived by her ever growing family: sisters Lilian (Jim) and Mary (Carl); children Mary (Barrie), Pamella, Robert, and Ronald (Ginger); grandchildren Jeremy (Sandy), Jason (Amy), Jennifer (Jose), Vanessa, Ryan, Madeline, Alyssa, and Brittany (Dustin); great-grandchildren Bailey, Chiara, Zachary, Aiden, Ethan, Caitlyn, Julian, Ella, Tylor, Henry, Maya, Blaze, Melrose, McKenna, Casen, and Michael; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
She deeply loved her family and friends, and is known for her vast impact on all their lives. Barb made friends everywhere she went and enjoyed scrapbooking, crafting, and traveling. Barb and Bob traveled to all 50 states and several countries in Europe, often accompanied by several family members. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and a lifelong member of the Catholic Church.
Barb will be dearly missed by all who knew her, but all will take comfort in the great memories they have with her.
Visitation will be held at Strang Funeral Chapel, 410 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake on Saturday November 14, 2020 from 1:00pm until 4:00pm. During this time we will be adhering to all COVID-19 guidelines including wearing of face masks and a maximum of 25 people in the funeral chapel.
