Obituary's Biography:

Anthony “Tony” F. Valek, 75, a resident of Grayslake, passed away Thursday January 8, 2015, in Libertyville, IL. He was born October 18, 1939 in Chicago, IL to Frank and Helen Valek. Tony was a member of the Electricians Union Local 134. He enjoyed building model railroad trains, spending time with his family, and his farmstead in Grayslake. Tony is survived by his wife of 53 years, Audrey, his children Michele (Brad) Skop, Debbie (Tom) Couch, Tony Valek Jr., and Dawn Valek, his grandchildren Crystal (Jesse) Chamorro, Tiffany (Mike) Toepfer, Michelle (Nick) Miller, Thomas, James, Anthony, Joseph, and Mary Couch, Dylan Valek, Amber Whitman, and Cole and Skylar Kick, his great-grandchildren Anna, Elizabeth, Nick, and Blake. He was preceded in death by his parents. A visitation is scheduled for Monday January 12, 2015 from 4:00pm until 8:00 p.m. at Strang Funeral Chapel, 410 E. Belvidere Rd., Grayslake, IL 60030. A funeral mass is scheduled for Tuesday January 13, 2015 at 10:00am at St. Gilbert Catholic Church 301 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL. Interment follow at Avon Centre Cemetery in Grayslake, IL.
