Obituary's Biography:

Anita P. Schuebel, 86, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2025 in Arlington Heights. She was born in Mayen, Germany, growing up during the difficult war years as a triplet with an older brother. With the loss of her mother as a child, she became an excellent cook and homemaker, caring for her siblings and widowed father at a young age. She persevered through these live-changing years with many poignant stories to share.  She left Germany to come to the Chicago area when she was 18 years old and started working in the medical field, where she met her first husband.

Anita lived in Park Ridge during her first marriage. When her triplet children and younger son were grown, she returned to work in the medical field at a doctor’s office. She then became self-employed as a licensed electrologist, later opening a salon in Skokie. After closing her business, she and her second husband retired in Grayslake and enjoyed traveling at home and abroad.  She became a widow in 2013 and continued her career as a full-time caregiver, until the time came when she needed care.

Anita was a strong and creative woman. She was someone you liked instantly and had many friends. She loved to cook and bake and her signature dishes and cakes were often requested at gatherings with family and friends. She enjoyed helping others with decorating and crafting projects. She also had a beautiful singing voice. She touched many lives as a caregiver and someone who was always willing to help anyone in need.

She is survived by her four children; Rich, Mark (Perla), Diane (Scott), Tom (Marcy), stepson Charles (Ursula), triplet siblings Hans and Helga; grandchildren, step-grandchildren, step-greatgrandchildren, niece and nephews.

Anita is preceded in death by her husband, Erich, previous husband, Richard, her older brother, Günter, and a niece and nephew.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 19, 2025 at Noon at Biaggi’s Ristorante, 20560 N Rand Rd. in Deer Park, IL.  For information contact Strang Funeral Chapel in Grayslake, IL at 847-223-8122. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Waverly Memory Care in Arlington Heights, IL, where she received exceptional care.
