Jack Andrews
Obituary's Biography:
Jack “Buzz” Andrews, age 90, a resident of Ingleside, IL, passed away on January 13, 2024. He was born on July 27, 1933 in Chicago to Orville and Mildred Andrews.
Jack’s career consisted of working construction, then for 19 years as superintendent of Street Department for the new Village of Elk Grove Village Public Works. He retired at age 80 from his position of Project Manager of Buildings and Grounds for Saint Scholastica School in Chicago. An avid car enthusiast, Jack owned 61 cars in his lifetime! He was skilled at and enjoyed projects that involved taking apart and putting back together. His passion of converting old family home movies to CD’s/DVD’s remained until his health declined. Jack ran his first Chicago Marathon at the age of 52 and several after the first. He loved his grandchildren more than anything and was an amazing grandpa.
Jack is survived by his children, Darrel Andrews of Richmond, IL and Tammy (Andy) Littleton of Round Lake, IL; and his grandchildren, Leah (Joseph) Pilon of Kenosha, WI, Lance Littleton of Denver, CO, Lisa Andrews of Surprise, AZ, and Jake Andrews of Phoenix, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Wesley Littleton.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Strang Funeral Chapel, 410 E Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030 on Sunday, February 4, 2024 from 1pm until 3pm. Interment will be held privately.
