Obituary's Biography:

Eileen M. Hagan, age 80, a resident of Grayslake, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2023 at Lake Forest Hospital in Lake Forest. She was born April 20, 1943 in Chicago to William and Ellen Shanahan. Eileen was a member of St. Gilbert’s Catholic Church in Grayslake, a long-standing member of LPA (Little People of America) and a beloved homemaker. She is survived by her husband James of 56 years, whom she married in Chicago in November of 1966. She is further survived by her children, Michael (Coleen) of Bolingbrook. Jill (Scott) Cole of Lindenhurst; grandchildren, Daniel (Chelsea) Cole of Hobart, IN, Ryan Cole of Kenosha, Kevin Cole and Shannon Cole, both of Lindenhurst; her great-grandchildren, Aidan, Jameson, and Cillian; her siblings, William “Bill” (Barbara) Shanahan, the late Patrick (Becky) Shanahan and James (the late Gerry) Scola.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Patrick and a sister, Gerry. A visitation is scheduled for Saturday, June 17, 2023 from 10am to 11am at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 East Belvidere in Grayslake, IL 60030 followed by a memorial service at 11:00am on Saturday, June 17, 2023 also at the funeral chapel.
