Obituary's Biography:
Dawn Lenzen, 45, a resident of Las Vegas for 23 years, passed away after a short illness, January 15, 2017. She was born November 22, 1971 in Wisconsin. Dawn worked as a cocktail waitress for Sarah/Ballys. Dawn loved her pets, especially Sparrow. She called herself the “cat lady”. Dawn loved the “Harley Davidson look” and riding to Red Rock Canyon in Las Vegas, yet she had a soft and whimsical side by collecting mermaids, fairy and dragon statues and artwork. Her many varied interests made her the quirky and loveable Dawn who will be fondly remembered and missed by many. Dawn is survived by her parents Bill and Penny Lenzen, her sister Sommer Matthews, and her nieces Alyssa, Amanda, and Aralyn. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Fred and Gertrude Lenzen and Alton and Margaret Palmer, and her cousins Jason Schaffer and Fred Harrington. A visitation and memorial service is scheduled for Wednesday, January 25, 2017 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030.
