Obituary's Biography:
Betty Jane Huber, 86, was called home while she slept on the evening of July 5th a blessing for her and a time of grief for us. She was born March 12th 1929 in Dola, Ohio, the middle child of a family of 8 children. Betty was married on December 25th 1947 to Richard Huber in Arlington, Ohio and they were blessed with 5 children, 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. They moved to Illinois in 1950 where they remained till 1989 when they retired to Friendship, Wisconsin. When Richard was called home in 2009 she moved back to Grayslake, Illinois. Betty is survived by her children Susan (Robert) Somers of Chicago, Mary Gatschet of Fort Worth, TX, Richard R. Huber Jr. of Round Lake Beach, and Stephen Huber of Grayslake, her siblings Catherine (Ray) Hartenstein of Cleveland, OH, Earl Hartman of Mesa, AZ, and Paul (Sharon) Hartman of Finlay, OH, and her aforementioned grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Peter and Alice (nee: Wood) Hartman, her husband Richard Huber, her son William P. Huber, her siblings Lillian Moses, Robert D. Hartman, Harley (Mary) Hartman, and Ralph (Marge) Hartman, her sister-in-law Ruth (Earl) Hartman, and her daughter-in-law Jo Huber. A visitation is scheduled for Thursday July 9, 2015 from 4PM until 7PM at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 E Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030. The funeral service will be held on Friday July 10, 2015 at 10am at St. Paul Lutheran Church 420 N. Greenwood Ave. Round Lake, IL. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Libertyville. We wish to extend our sympathy to the Huber family for the loss of their mother. Aunt Betty was always a cheerful lady and we know she will be missed by all of her children and grandchildren.
