Jerome “Jerry” A. Katauskas

Obituary's Biography:

Jerome “Jerry” A. Katauskas, 77, a resident of McHenry, passed away March 5, 2025, at the Captain Lovell Federal Health Center in North Chicago, IL.  He was born October 23, 1947, in Chicago, IL to John and Casimira Katauskas.

Jerry was a parish member of St. Bede the Venerable in Chicago.  Jerry was principled and unwavering in his dedication to raising his three children.  He believed in discipline and hard work.  Jerry proudly served his country as a United States Marine during the Vietnam War and later dedicated his life to protecting his community as a member of the Chicago Police Department for 25 years.

Jerry is survived by his children Kimberly (Anthony) Peterson of Grayslake, IL, Ronald Sessler of Monee, IL, and Randall Sessler of McHenry, IL, his grandchildren, and his brother John (Linda) Katauskas of Lemont, IL.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother James (Paula) Katauskas. 

A memorial service will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation t2t.org.  All funeral arrangements were entrusted to Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E.
