Bert Kilian

Obituary's Biography:

Bert Kilian, 90, a resident of Grayslake, IL and a longtime resident of Nekoosa, WI, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2025, at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL.  He was born December 18, 1934, in Berwyn, IL. 

Bert is survived by his sons David (the late Debbie) Kilian of Beach Park, IL, Michael (Beth) Kilian of Naperville, IL, and Jeffery Kilian of Grandville, IL, his cherished grandchildren Brittany Auburn, and Hailey Kilian, and Marianne Cygan, his siblings Linda Michalik, Dorothy (Norb) Madaj, Karl (Kathy) Kilian, Marilynn Burm, Anna (Jim) Rapp, Toni Kilian, and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Elfriede Kilian, his sisters Alice, Barbara, and Joan, and his brothers Henry and Richard.

Bert lived a long independent life and in recent years enjoyed his community spending time with many friends. He was an avid reader, love the Chicago Cubs and his neighborhood club and poker club.

A visitation and funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E. Belvidere Rd.
